Susie Elliott
Susie Elliott is an associate solicitor with Ernest J Cantillon & Company. She exclusively specialises in medical negligence & healthcare litigation. She graduated from University College Cork with an honours BCL Law Degree in 2002 and gained extensive and valuable experience in a private client litigation firm in Manhattan, New York and two other Cork firms prior to joining Ernest J. Cantillon & Company in 2005.
Susie has managed a number of complex medical litigation matters and in particular, has successfully concluded a number of High Court medical negligence cases. She has also negotiated and finalised the successful implementation of homecare packages for critically ill patients which has allowed them to live out their days at home, rather than in hospital.
Susie lectures trainee solicitors on healthcare law at the Law Society of Ireland and has given presentations on healthcare law, practice and procedure at medical law conferences, including a conference ran by the charity, Action against Medical Accidents (AVMA), of which she is a member. She has also featured on local and national media in relation to this specialised area of practice.
