VICTIMS OF CRIME
If you have been the victim of a crime, you may be entitled to apply for compensation to the Criminal Injuries Compensation Tribunal. The Tribunal will pay out-of-pocket expenses and loss of earnings. There are time limits within which the applications can be made. We at Ernest J. Cantillon & Co. have many years experience of dealing with the Tribunal and processing these claims. The important thing to note is that there are time limits and generally speaking the time limit is 3 months. The Tribunal has discretion to extend the time but it is safer to apply within the timescale as the Tribunal may also refuse to extend the time.
